Fuel Injection is a system for admitting fuel into an internal combustion engine which atomizes the fuel by forcibly pumping it through a small nozzle under high pressure, unlike in a carburetor which relies on suction created by intake air accelerated through a tube to draw the fuel into the airstream.

ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)

The brain of the Fi motorcycle unit as it component measures of fuel based on the signals sent by the sensors.

Fuel Injector

This serves as nozzle that controls the fuel dependent on the signals sent by the sensor and the instruction given by the ECM.

Sensors

The nerves that send signals to the brain or the ECM.

  1. Throttle Position Sensor - monitors the throttle activity.
  2. Intake Air Pressure Sensor - monitors the atmospheric condition of the air pressure.
